An artist/architect commissioned to work within a community to build and design a structure or installation conceptualised by the artist/architect.

A huge challenge with a budget of £500.

• To engage the community through the design and building process. Forming positive relationships, together they must source as many materials as possible from local business as ‘payment in kind’ which may satisfy the business Corporate Social Responsibility agenda and in turn to support the community project.

• To find a space accessible to the artist and community to build the structure within a schedule worked out by artist and community (possibly community centre or school).

• This is an exciting opportunity for the community and schools to work together with an artist/architect to create public art; and be involved in the design process. It is a valuable learning opportunity, working with an Architect/Artist; to gain insight into the skills and design process within this environment.
